There is definitely something being planned in Suriname, but I'm not sure that it involves a bid in the offshore tenders. I asked SP the same question in Sydney as you did in Melbourne ie " are you planning to bid for the offshore Suriname leases?" He didn't answer directly but talked about how important it was to continue to strengthen their links with Suriname's Staatsolie
Earlier he had been quite definite in stating that there were three developments in the pipeline- a bid for Trinidad leases plus two he couldn't mention by name as there was still a bit of legal work to tidy up , but both were in the bag.
If he is planning to bid on the Suriname leases, why didn't he say so directly as he did with Trinidad? Maybe because its all part of a deal with Staatsolie, involving the Suriname leases and a farm-in to Guyane, which thus might make it one of the two deals with out a name.
What do you reckon?
