I think the best of the free markets was the US in 1953 which got down to 3% but it was still recovering from the impact to the workforce from WWII and had a reasonable commitment in Korea. so what do you propose we do with those 3% more normally 4-5% of the adult working population.
not everyone was born with your obvious intelligence charm and good looks. some people are subject to the ebbs and flows of capitalism and the changing nature of industries. some are made redundant due to management failures. there is huge ageism in the hiring market . your broad characterisation of the unemployed is simplistic, facile and offensive.

YE Olde Egypt seemed to know what to do with the unemployed.
Those snazzy sphincters and pyramids and tombs wouldn't have been built if ancient Egypt had the dole. Just call all welfare recipients slaves and let them hollow our Ayres Rock.
