I have trust issues with anyone I am unable to look in the eye.

I will simply reiterate;
...........seems a little bit strange for a mining co. to be organising national distributor agreements in a retail/wholesale space.

It MIGHT be, they are attempting to line themselves up an income stream to avoid unnecessary dilution. But 1, 2 or even 3 distributorships and/or partnerships have their own cashflow issues and lead times before any income is generated.

It MIGHT be, they are indeed attempting to implement a holistic approach to the whole lifecycle thing. But then I would ask the question; how much is this strategy diverting their attentions from their primary raison d'etre (i.e. the dirt).

And it MIGHT also be, they are setting up a back door business format transition.

No doubt, renewables and batteries are the future. But that future is neither today, tomorrow, nore the day thereafter in terms of billions or even millions of revenue.
