What you are effectively saying is focus on the business model and not speculate on why the share price is doing whatever it does on any given hour/day/week.
You are spot on: nothing can alter the wild alterations in the market, so there is simply no use fretting about them. History shows that good companies will always flourish, no matter what the external environment does or doesn't do.
(I would take the liberty of tacking one further bit on the make your advice consummate, and that is if you think someone is being spiteful and motivated by desperate need to feel "right", and that they are not trying to bring much-needed balance to a discussion, then the best thing to do is to invoke the Ignore button, or report them to the forum's moderators if you feel they are not adhering to the forum's Terms of Use.)
