Ben, the HC membership regardless of their politics would realise that your interpretation of polls and the statistical methodologies used is based simply on the premise that you don't like what the polls are telling you, that is, that the government is struggling to convince a majority of voters that its policies and performance are up to scratch. The broken promises and disastrous first budget have shattered the trust of many voters who had voted Liberal at the last election and they are now moving their vote to Labor and the Greens in droves.
Furthermore, given your reference to those polled as "know nothings" it seems you must hold the general membership here in the same category if you expect they would believe the nonsense you are peddling on the reputable polls. Polls are not much different to market research used by business to establish client/customer needs and viewpoints whether on service or products.
