The reality is, in this market, it's more likely stocks that run won't run as hard and holders sitting on a profit will be thinking "a bird in the hand" sort of thing. Smart trading imo.
When anyone posts on HC about a spec stock, two things should be cemented in people's mind, if they're going to allow HC to have an impact on their trading decisions:
1) The person posting already owns the stock and is set.
2) The person posting, in most cases, is selling some or all of their position into any rally.
If everyone could recognise and accept that, I think there'd be alot less fingerpointing.
When people stop and think about it, it should be obvious to novice and experienced trader alike that without announcing anything to market, a company doesn't just go from being worth 2c to all of a sudden worth 6c. With thousands of investors, dozens of brokers, newsletters, insiders and small funds managers, there are few (if any) genuinely "undiscovered gems" - just perceptions and trading.
In other words, contrast the likes of what were once little known nanos, like WRR and CMP, who re-rated on real news, relating to real revenue. Compare this to all the other nanos that announce nothing but are all of a sudden worth 3x the mc they were 2 days earlier. Of course they're most likely going to fall back! It's the PSYs of the world that unfortunately give some punters the perception that this is halfway normal, when it's actually the exceptional.
