Hedge fund manager David Tepper was interviewed last night on CNBC (he seems to have a major interview with them about once a year), and really got the market firing around this time in 2010 with his comments.  Gives ans interesting perspective on markets, China, company valuations, central bank reserves etc.  Link to a video attached, just let it run and I think it may take you through all parts of the interview on the CNBC website

A follow on discussion on the US market by Carter Worth with graphs, and data that earning last quarter fell 0.7% while revenue fell 3.4% (S&P500 companies I think).  I suppose those falls would have been less or not have occurred if the oil price was higher?  Not sure how much of the drop in oil price happened last quarter - perhaps not a lot.
