In the lead up to the spill motion early this year some on the far right said they would accept Turnbull if that is what it took to win the next election.

Turnbull has indicated he will not push for an ETS so that kills some of there concerns.

All indications is that Liberal party would romp it home at the next election with Turnbull leading while under Abbott they face a big defeat.

You can see why the major stake holders in the liberal party ie MP's, finacial backers and the party it's self would back Turnbull even if they didn't like him.

Abbott fans are throwing logic out the window LOL
