I see a lot of self-serving manipulators on these threads, some much more obvious than others, and they turn my stomach.

Gotta say..... I don't think poor old Martin is one of them. I won't bother going through every post he's ever written because, frankly, I have better things to do with my time. But I think he's somewhat sincere in his analysis here. I'd like to think my profession gives me a finely-tuned bullshit meter, and it's not going off here.

Manipulators absolutely should be shot down. I find them scummy and will often lead the charge challenging them. We should be able to read and write honest thoughts and celebrate a collegiate atmosphere of different views without self-serving tosspots. But negative views should be welcomed with open eyes.

Surges, once the darling of the OBJ threads, gets picked apart now like hyenas on a carcass. As I've recently posted, who predicted the price fall he did? Certainly not I. I haven't seen anyone applauding not only tat foresight, but the nuts to say it publicly.

I have a fortune invested in OBJ, yet when I post negative comments from time to time, am treated like a paedophile at a public pool. I know that every one of my posts is honest, so can say with supreme confidence the OBJ cheer squad is far nastier and agenda-driven than some of the posters they purport to call out.

I think some people need to take a cold shower. Manipulators can be fairly obvious, and sometimes not. Just because someone criticises your darling doesn't mean they're one of them.
