Lapdog, it was disturbing that voters where so disappointed with Abbott they were prepared to had over the PM job to Shorten even thou they didn't particularly like him.

Turnbull has given voters hope that we can finally see some good government.

I note that Turnbull is sticking with current polices, I think he had little choice in that and did so to keep the peace. I expect that in the weeks and months ahead Turnbull with his new cabinet will start to formulate new plans and policy.

Turnbull has a different leadership style to Abbott, Abbott seemed to come up with idea then tell his cabinet minister to carry it out. Turnbull is more likely to allow his Cabinet to come up with idea and then suggest how it could be improved, this give the minister ownership of the idea.

I also get the impression Turnbull will get ministers to work more as a team by allowing free and open discussion of ideas.

The interesting thing is what sort of reforms will come up for discussion, Abbott effectively ruled out reforms because he was too concerned with the polls. Turnbull will not need to be too concerned with the poll and will be better at communicating the need for reform
