Justis, IMO Tony Abbott's ideas were given to him from behind the scenes; from Peta Credlin and John Howard to the IPA, the BCA, the MCA, Rupert Murdoch and of course those shock jocks whose ratings he boosted. IMO Abbott himself had NO ideas and NO vision for our future - as even alleged in a recent article by Peter Reith!
Due to his great big broken promises, Tony Abbott had NO political capital since he betrayed the trust he demanded in September 2013; as even John Howard has acknowledged.
Malcolm Turnbull's promises to mainstream Australians aren't just those he articulated on Monday night. They include the noise he made beforehand about SSM, revisiting the republican matter, the rollout of the NBN, addressing climate change, economic management and of course the operation of Cabinet itself. Turnbull's public welcome to the Prime Ministership will be short-lived if he now does an Abbott backflip.
