At first I was afraid.. I was petrified

    Good Afternoon, fellow MEL holders!

Long time holder, avid forum observer and first time poster here. Now, before I get too carried away, can I just point out a few things which are bugging me? Firstly, it seems like many non-holders are adept at using the old "rope-a-dope" technique in order to stir up emotion, and quite frankly, we as a company (yes, as shareholders, we represent part of Metgasco), are walking right into it - every time. The anti-everything naysayers hold a position of opposition - you cant and wont change that. Whether you agree with them or not (and for most, myself included, it is a big, fat, NOT), there is no point descending into personal attacks and mindless banter. Our company is above that. Just remember, we have done nothing wrong! By buying into this relentless toing and froing, we are merely providing extra ammunition - extra resolve - to make life in the Northern Rivers (my neck of the woods, mind you) even more difficult. Metgasco has spoken, and the courts will do the talking for us. Otherwise, nothing but positivity should be spreading throughout this forum. Silence the critics by not giving them an audience. Ignore their posts. Do not entertain the opposition. Let them put in 30 minutes of posting, only to get zero views. Yes, my fellow holders, we have our own position. We believe in our company, and its right to conduct business. Personally, I will not be swayed on that, so let the arguments fall on deaf ears. I live beside and work with countless hypocrites in the NR region. One bloke I work with protested at Bentley, and yet has made a personal fortune investing in large-scale coal projects! None of which, of course, are in his region. I saw a previous post about Nimbinboy, (just so you know, fellow holders, if you have never been to Nimbin, don't go knocking it - it is an odd place to say the least - alternative to its core - but the people are friendly enough) who at one point held stock in a Uranium company! Talk about picking your battles! This is what we are up against. You won't change their minds, so just let them go. After all, this long-running saga of posts has not swayed anyone from either side.

Secondly, there seems to be some negativity amongst various holders. Long-termers, please do not resent investers who got in at rock-bottom prices. Obviously they will have different ideas on what a good outcome is, but that is their right. I have invested a lot, averaged down, averaged down, averaged down again, and I am just about to invest some more. Insanity, you may say? Nothing but greed? No, a belief in the legitimacy of this company. As a New South Welshman and Australian born-and-bred, I will have lost a lot more than money if Metgasco fails. This country of ours needs to respect the laws which govern it. That is why I believe we will win. The decision is too important to get wrong. It will set a benchmark for community opposition to bring the country to a standstill. Close down every project. Keep the country in the dark. Not in my backyard, they will say... Well, Australia is my backyard too, and if I had the space, my gates would be open!

I do apologise about the long-winded nature of this post, but it has been written with the hope that all holders will unite in backing this company of ours. If you are not in, by default, you are OUT! I am in, and feeling darn good about it. Hang tight long-termers. While I have not included any fancy charts or company info, and gut-feelings may not be the best investment strategy, I feel excited again about MEL. It is a slightly nervous excitement, mind you, but soon enough I think a change is coming... I feel it!

Do your own research and good luck to all!
