Thanks Ahjay its always nice to get some feedback....
one has to assume chart forum readers have a basic prerequisite TA knowledge...It can be a bit of a challenge to keep the jargon levels down ....the easy hyperlinks ... for references ..education..aren't much trouble...this thread is primarily about Darryl Guppy and his own ability to present TA in an easy to understand manner.....I just copy his ideas for that reason..."As a 59 year old apprentice technical analyst.".....you could do worse than look in to some of his Books....
Or keep to your own " Investing scene" strengths if they are working for you.......and compliment them with basic TA trend direction and TA Financial Management (Stoploss ) techniques.....and as you say "have a bit of fun..." I mean "Trading" as such on this HC forum ,primarily is a volatility range gamble to compliment returns on spec stocks, and to a lesser extent its about sound investments for Super etc.....

It is never a Holy Grail to fortune........so as they say don't risk more than you can afford to lose.....Gamble and have fun beating the 90% odds that you will fail to beat the market..........Hey and go suck some eggs...

heres Guppy on todays close with 59 being the old resistance we looked at on the first post in this thread..Its still true today and is an early TA entry on close today....look at the short term MA congestion. It signifies a price consensus.....the longer the long and short term MMA's are like this the stronger the breakout will be.
There is also a descending Triangle Pattern forming...this can breakout either way but its bound by 60 and 57 breaks to trigger it so their will be plenty of time to catch it......Descending triangle details
You may read Bulkowski's foreword comments that this is a very profitable pattern when it breaks long.... chart below..also looks like a pennant ? see what you think...... cheers
