I'm based in Aus - no not working or tied to a hedge fund yet unfortunately, but work in the m&a space structuring and valuing acquisitions and divestments...hedge fund /private equity will be my next move...

Happened to be on Commsec 2 weeks ago doing some benchmarking analysis on public listed companies and looked at the top mover which happened to be AZZ up 200%. Curiousity got the better of me, and I went about assessing the transaction which based on the information presented a compelling buy at 30c.

By Weds, the market still hadn't seemed to have priced the news in, so decided to try ascertain additional information to further de-risk my valuation before adding to my position (hence the email to ASX)...

If the deal does go through, there is a potential merger that AZZ may wish to look at - but I will email them about it following completion of this transaction...
