Look, what I mean @HarkenBanks is that you have to study whatever it is you base your decision on - fundamentals or trading - and decide whether the stock is a good buy or not.

When an announcement is made that changes the game you have to reassess your position. If you feel that your criteria are still positive (strong fundamentals or strong trading support) then a dip like this is a chance to scoop up more shares at a discount. If you feel that the company will be weakened or the trading shows downward pressure then this might be your chance to hop off before the real crunch comes.

If you've come into your Vocus stocks in the Amcom takeover (like me) then you've had a nice ride up and you had a chance to take some chips off the table at a tidy profit. You still have a chance to liquidate (some or all of) your Vocus stock without loss at the current price.

I'm a fundamentals kind of trader. I like the fundamentals of this stock. I didn't take profit because I believed the company has good long term growth and dividend prospects. I still believe that. At this price I think it makes a good long buy. But then tadpoles don't know so much about IT. Perhaps you might be interested in some good cattle-trough or pond-weed supply companies...

Like the rest of us in the weedy pond, you have to choose which algae you're going to feed on for yourself.
