Fish n chips shops sell fish n chips, icecream shops sell icecream, and widget shops sell widgets.
Does it surprise me that Atlas can sell iron ore at fixed contract prices into the future ? No, not really, its what they're there to do. The market for iron ore is extremely healthy and growing year on year, but supply is growing way faster.
Are they going to make a lot of money selling at the prices they're selling at ? Probably not. Enough to pay off the debt ? Definitely not. Enough to refinance the loan if prices stay surpressed by massive overproduction and they deplete their small reserve by 20mt ? Highly unlikely.
