Megafauna, as CETO5 is a demonstration site we must not loose site of the main purpose, in the first place as to what CWE aim to achieve with this project.
The main purpose it to demonstrate that the technology works this has been achieved with no set backs.
It is equally important during this demonstration phase, at times different components spend time on land. CWE engineers are better engaged in inspecting physically all offshore components now for wear and stress before the release of the final design of CETO6 are released. The engineers are best employed in physical inspection and testing at this stage than looking at computers.
As Jukes has touched on when CETO6 is deployed in more energetic sea conditions it is then the time to look to power output see page 9 of the annual report shows the difference in 5 v 6 site comparison it can be seen that CETO6 in deeper water will be a truer indication of performance.
You mentioned CETO 5 being decommissioned if and when it does happen there is no reason why it could not be dismantled, sold and reinstalled for an island community with a small population.
