I paid attention to futures and said its an indication that the sell-off was overdone. When S&P difference is positive it opens positive as it did. When buyers were reluctant the selling kicked in and realised again it overdone. It definitely didn't tank as most predicted. Yeah still in a downtrend but seems consolidating. Nothing superstitious about it.
