Well I'd like to be able to write like pinto because I rather like his style but I can't. (Energised writing certainly doesn't mean flakey and he deserves his reputation because he's pretty knowledgable I think) I'm just better trained to LOOK boring. I once got called an honorary accountant which I thought hilarious because really I have little stomach for such discipline. Good thing someone else in our partnership actually does.

And in answer to your question NC is a finance man but doesn't much seem like it does he. A finance man who can sell and make good conversation. A bit of a winning combination with apologies to any accountants out there

One thing that we found encouraging with NC was that he did know and understand the Gore approach to growth. I think he knows a little about his own strengths and limitations and I think he does understand heaps about what makes a business work. I think getting enough sleep is his main challenge but he's still young enough to be resilient.

I've had the very good fortune to work with a couple of brilliant CEOs and the misfortune to work with the opposite. There's always a magic to the former. Yep at present I think NC has what it takes right now and right now that's what matters.
