Just looking at the broker markets share for the year...it is very interesting to note that Macquarie (Insto) are the biggest net buyers of MSB with 4.7% of the total volume.
Might mean that their investors aren't listening to their research OR something else could be at play, I will let the other conspiracy theorists come up with something there.
Also interesting to note that the heavy sell volume on the 17th (when shorts hit 8%) came from Citi, Comsec, UBS and Deustche - some being big algo brokers and obviously Commsec where we all mostly trade, so scared retail.
Then on the 18th post the announcement, the big buyers were UBS and CS.
Over the day Citi was a big net seller, Commsec and ML too.
All in all some interesting goings on and food for thought.
