Others as well try it on but Chinese organisations particularly had form in this area in the past. Contracts are signed to ensure future supply in what may be a tight market but when prices drop there are moves to renegotiate contracts on more favourable terms and if supplier doesn't concede all of a sudden the shipments are rejected due to bogus contamination or some other trumped up issue and supplier is forced to sell into a lower spot market. I was close to this at one stage albeit a long time ago and not in LNG. I may have inadvertently dog whistled but wasn't being a racist and you are stupid if you don't segment your markets and know your customers. Back to the origin of the issue on Origin - I think they have a lot of contracts with Chinese; Chinese are choking on gas atm if you can believe press reports. Have they got any protection against contract default? Given ORGs recent history of being caught out perhaps they should take some precautions.
