Probably worth studying the Letseng locality more carefully.
Funny because I was mentioning Lucapa and my new found interest in diamond formation to my father yesterday. He immediately came out with some very saucy stories about the wild days he spent doing his Phd in geology in Cape Town and diamond geologist he studied with named Gurney. Turns out it's the same guy that published one of the papers that I'd referenced here on HC the day before. Apparently they all studied under a very famous Nobel prize winning professor of geology in the 1960s.
I've been looking much more carefully at the satellite imagery and the geomorphology of the licence area and I've almost manage to convince myself that the pipe discovered at target e259 is the source of all the diamonds found at Lulo.
I'll provide my speculations in this regard when I get a chance.
