Chilloutman, since my post confused you then I will reiterate to try to be crystal clear:

1. I commented on your calculation about the annual output of a WEC unit, which is based on the 1.05kWh NREL-based output number you quoted. I made a typo saying this was 1.5kWh, which I made the effort to correct.

2. This typo does not detract from the fact that you have not included any downtime in your calculation. Your calculation assumes that each WEC unit will produce at 70% (i.e. 1.05kW) of its rated capacity (i.e. 1.5kW) every hour of every day of the year, with no downtime (i.e. "1.05 Kwh (according to NREL) x 24 hrs x 365 days per year").

You go on to say "the company is clearly developing the device to be scalable, and low cost to manufacture, deploy and maintain".

I simply asked the questions - what is the cost to manufacture deploy & maintain (i.e. what is the capex, what is the opex, and what is the profitability, payback, IRR, NPV, etc if the revenue is based on 30c/kWh).

You can not answer these questions, nor can anyone outside the company, because they don't say. That is not my misperception - it is a fact. Feel free to correct me and point to or quote any of those numbers that the company has published (I have searched and can't find them but perhaps I have missed them) - and I will happily eat humble pie.
