surely this is insider trading - buying 3 mil shares under 30c when there is a 31c takeover offer ? Looks like money for jam to me! the guy selling at 28c would be fairly unimpressed at this stage...........

Meanwhile, directors indicate to hold, and market price at 31.5 -32.5 indicating another bid. What do you think the co is worth ? Personally l would prefer to hold the stock long term, as CPB seems awfully expensive currently, so where is the capital gain potential in swapping. When Xstrata took over MIM for $1.70 in no time the assets were worth 3 times that price, shareholders who held for years got peanuts. CHL seems to be in a similar position and just as it looks good shareholders get a small reward which hardly justifies the holding of stock for many years.

In any case l guess we will just have to wait +see what eventuates.............another offer do you think ?
