Honestly, coz arrogance is dangerous to the hip pocket. When people with a different view can articulate their reasons they either persuade me and I'm grateful or I persuade them and maybe they are (and if they were reasonable before they will be again and might see something I don't in future and tell me). It's the numb-nut true believers on any side of a question who won't offer reasons that really waste time and make me think why bother.
