Yesterday (Thursday) 3.6m new shorts, but outstanding shorts dropped 9m from Friday to Monday (now 20.6%).
Data's a bit of a joke seeing as the most traded in a day was 7m on Monday!
Difficult to see what's going on this week due to the lag but I suspect more shorters are panicking than those increasing their bets.
