Yes, quite possibly.

Celgene may have been so impressed with what they saw over the past 6 months in relation to MSB's products for GVHD, oncology, inflammatory bowel disease, etc. that they may have said to themselves, "Wow! This stuff looks so good that we shouldn't just stop there; No, to heck with it, we should be looking at just buying the entire company!"

PS. In the interests of MSB's shareholders, one assumes that MSB has not extended the option of another 6 months of exclusivity to Celgene for zero consideration. Presumably Celgene has paid for the privilege of keeping out any other potential MSB partners for a further 6 months.
