Geld...go and build a house and you might get a supprise...ALL the Trades people....like yourself...WANT TO GET PAID...anything between $25 to $55 an hour....and when you buy the materials..+section...then, you know what it costs to build a home...sitting on your chaf and trading shares..easy...but building is hard work...so next time you say a collapse in the housing market....get of the grass and do your figures as no one works for peanuts...only monkeys..and they are terrible builders...maybe a grass hut might suit you as that does not cost to much to construct...as far as timber...when did you buy your last 100mm/50mm..TIMBER.. you might get a shock...what it costs..so your statements are of no consequence....I helped build a home...and every screw....COST $$$...so cheap housing...if you work in a mine you earn $1500 a week..so Trades people also earn their money..and what I have seen in QLD...its bloody hard work....Houses are still cheap in comparisson of the rest of the world....In Auckland...5 km from the CBD you pay $650k to over $1 million..for a 2nd hand house.so Brisbane is still cheap....plus YOU PAY 2 Taxes...GST, and STAMP DUTY....and that is what it costs...after all you pay for a decent car...$30k in Australia..and if you want to live in a decent home it all costs money which unfortunatly...is a fact of life..so safe your pennies and you will be able to afford one...After all I came to Australia with nothing and now own my own home and we had it harder than anyone today...we could not even speak english....but we learned to manage...and no one gave it to us we worked for it..
