I hope you are an expert because I'm not sure what you're point is and would like you to explain, if you don't mind.

    You say:

'... apart from the Truenorth project ... all the other ones are not really neuron spiking designs ...

They are simple designs either around NAND or NOR logic gates and a variation thereof ...'

    Peter van der Made says:

    [0031]
What follows is a detailed description of the operation of one embodiment of the artificial neuron.
    [0032]
In the preferred embodiment a plurality of synapse circuits is provided, constructed from standard Boolean logic gates within a device.

I'm no expert, but my understanding is that 'spike trains' is the terminology used to explain the way in which action potentials occur only when a certain threshold has been reached. Spiking neurons therefore have inherent power saving capacity and are part of the third generation ANN designs like Peter van der Made's SNAP architecture. Qualcomm uses it, too, in their AI - not Peter's SNAP tech but Spiking Neurons, which Peter did not invent, as some deluded types here have claimed.

Happy to be corrected with links provided.

Also, you do at least make some attempt to understand what exactly it is you've invested your money into, so I would like to know what criteria would satisfy you with respect to M2 and M3 demo of on-chip autonomous learning. What test would convince a novice like me (and you??) that SNAP tech is truly paradigm changing?

    Cheers.
