Ricky, I suppose none of us will really know the true story. But my take on things is this: Going way back, MT and wife meet Kronos exec and wife at some sort of Tio2 conference. They hit it off and become really good friends. MT talks Kronos into the investment via the new friend and indeed Kronos takes an active interest; sends along the odd engineer to give advice; but doesn't in my opinion make any demands re the design of the plant, which has been suggested over and over on HC. Down the track, a slowdown in the market causes the biggest shareholder of kronos ( probably the original owner, perhaps) to start looking at the figures; discoveres the APG deal and cracks a wobbly. MT's friend is immediately fired. There goes any chance of future funding. Simmonds, (was that his name) looks for all avenues to recover his funds and looks to sue APG. Suit fails and the rest we know. My guess is that Kronos friend had his wife on a fat salary as a Sec and was amazed that MT didn't. We all do it he might have said, and the rest is history.
And, if Kronos had offerred to buy APG out, it would have had to be declared. Just like " APG are close to finalising agreements with a major international to fund the upgrade ......" You get the drift and I really hope this comes good for you Ricky. jwt
