It's not obvious at all.
There is no reliable information for the existence of a god, yet alone the nature and characteristics of a god. No 'god' has yet come forth to visit, or to engage in direct communication.
And...we do not know whether the universe actually had a beginning or if it has always existed in some form, cyclic, branes, many worlds, etc.
