The Maari field is a proven,close -to-shore producing oil field.Its southern boundary is about 10k from the Paja prospect in the licence to the south of the Maari field about which prospect I have seen no information.
The Matariki prospect is a bit further away from Maari but its very close to the PAJA prospect ,which in turn is very close to Maari. The northern edge of the Matariki prospect is only about 30 k from the southern boundary of MAARI.
In short you could say that Maari(proven oil field),Paja(prospect) and Matariki(prospect) are in a line- close neighbours even.
Send the rig over the southern boundary of Maari and Paja and Mataraki beg to be drilled. Strachans obviously consider Mataraki is the one to go for first.
