I don't know why the shares jumped. As a PPX shareholder only, I look on those who hold large tranches of hybrid shares as parasites. They are happy to see my holdings decimated so that they can make their millions.

They issue statements and make offers as if they have concern for PPX-when in fact it is the contrary. For those large investors who state that they are shareholders of PPX and the hybrids, I would love to see the actual value-I suspect it would significantly favour the hybrid side.

If I was running PPX I would concentrate on building the business and put the hybrid issue on hold.

It should be remembered that it is not the board who will determine the final outcome of the hybrid issue but in fact, it is the major shareholders of PPX. I don't see them sacrificing their position.
