Diligent, am I to understand that following comments Tony Abbott has made in London about asylum seekers and Jesus that have outraged Catholic priests; that you're supporting Abbott ahead of senior priests within the Catholic Church?
Well it's my understanding that the Catholic Church claims to be a champion of the poor and those in need; including asylum seekers. Pope Francis has been unequivocal in his calls for people to respond sympathetically and generously to the millions of people displaced throughout the Middle East.
IMO Abbott has placed himself at odds with his own Church and I'm stunned that some people are still going along with him for the ride.
