Strategic interests are closely aligned between the US and Japan and Lynas is effectively backed by Japan.
Imo it should make a lot of sense to the US gov for LYC to acquire Moly to allow them to have a secure supply chain outside of China.
It definitely makes sense to me as an LYC shareholder to open up new markets and supply to Seimens and US DOD.
Whether they have to acquire moly to do this, im not sure as unless there is a significant and reputable company take ove moly I think they would be coming our way soon anyway.
