Whoops - talk about letting one go through to the keeper! I've only been in PCG for about 18 months, although i was aware of that investment in concrete treatment that nearly floored them 6 or 7 years ago.
I just thought you might've been serious because there has been some acquisition activity in the industry lately. EG., Boral have been making a few acquisitions of scaffolding companies over the last couple years. Also, i saw just a couple days ago that Concept Scaffolding acquired a scaffolding business in WA for about $10M.
It's probably that near-death experience PCG had all those years ago with the concrete treatment business that has stopped them from considering acquisitions since. Not to mention that the company seems hellbent on maintaining low gearing and funding mainly organic growth through spare cash flows.
