Madamswer, you are certainly one of the best posters on hotcopper (I very much enjoy reading your posts), you are probably right on the money. I agree at the moment we are waiting for new management and a clear direction for strategy. New management will probably take a few months to articulate their new strategy, and it will take much longer to implement it, I completely agree.
Wow is one of my "out of favour, high quality business" selections. I have a tendency to get into these too early which would align with your sentiments.
Regarding Masters, I am of two minds. Up until I read their latest announcement I completely agreed with you. However seeing 23% growth in revenue for last year makes me think they have a real chance to salvage some value from it by holding for another couple of years, at least until it is breaking even (or close to it). I don't think they should keep it long term, but the difference in sale price between a loss maker and a break even business with growing revenue could be huge, and may only require another 18mths - 2 years. Having said that it is distracting them from their core, more profitable business, and without anywhere near enough information I shouldn't be making a call on the sell or hold decision for Masters.
There are a few businesses on ASX that I think are better than wow, but just not at the right price at the moment.
