Just tread cautiosly with this apparent ascending triangle as they don't always work out. FTSE100 was a classic case last year when it seemed to have a wonderful ascending triangle pattern in October / November that then quickly broke very harshly to the downside.
It worries me that the pattern looks frightingly similar on the DOW at the moment with a big move up from lows and now an ascending triangle - exactly what you see on the FTSE last year before it broke and fell nearly 900 points to create new lows in this bear market trend.
