Hello
In reference to your comments and reading the Orocobre statements on debottling the plant, it seems to me that they are facing a serious plant design problem that it is aggravated by the plant location at high altitude. Galaxy build a plant in China that only produced 60 % design capacity after many changes. That plant was of different raw material but the equipment was chocked with the precipitation of salts. In the case of Orocobre, the precipitation starts on the concentration ponds, they failed in the cooling approach using cool brine instead of using an indirect glycol system or similar concept. The elimination of boron should probable included another process step prior to purification and in the case of process step requiring high temperatures, the high altitude requires the use of pressure vessels to eliminate "boiling" at low temperature. I have not visited the plant but I have evaluated some photos. My opinion is based on my experience in plant design while implementing the SDV feasibility study as Engineering Manager.
