The Sceptre offer was not put to shareholders; it is my understanding that it was simply an approach to the board to see if they would support it - which they obviously don't. However, if these guys are genuine then they may well come back with an official on market offer before this deal is bedded down or alternatively once the capital raising is out of the way; ie they will then have access to the $5 billion in available credit that the board is talking about and the bulk of the assets are still there. Just a thought
