Given I have just had 4 idle hrs of my life getting home, I gave driverless cars some more thought.

For sure there are legal issues to sort out.

Who is responsible for an accident where a driverless vehicle is at fault?

Is it ok to drive yourself to a boozy event and then whilst rolling drunk have the car drive you home?

Is it ok for an ageing person with early onset dementia use a driverless vehicle?

What about mildly intellectually disabled people? What about recent stroke or epilepsy sufferers?

On the more certain side, the century long lost battle to have drivers stick to speed limits is won with compulsory driverless vehicles.

Will roads clog or can traffic flows be optimised by real time computer modelling?

Jobs at threat include taxi drivers, pizza delivery dudes, chauffeurs and highway patrol policemen just for starters.

Mmmmm, are greenies gunna have apoplexy with fleets of fossil fuel burning driverless cars or can there be smart driverless cars with photovoltaic paint that back themselves out of the garage to charge soon after sunrise and move themselves slightly if enveloped by shade once parked?

Sheesh, I better go have a camomile tea to slow the old brain down 8))
