Obviously wearing the same set of clothing without washing them while on a 3 month naval mission isn't the most ideal way to operate (esp when you are in a confined space like a ship...).

And, indeed, our Army guys apparently don't have any fire retardant uniforms because its just too difficult to keep them up to spec - in the field you don't know if its actually fire retardant or not because you cant know the history of the clothing and you cant carry 100s of sets of unused confirmed FR uniforms around, so its safer to operate on the basis that the uniform is not fire retardant than to think it is and be wrong.

I imagine most Defence forces around the world are in the same boat (no pun intended). So while the US DOD is clearly the big bear, there are plenty of other smaller but still lucrative markets. If AJX can crack the US market, these other ones will probably follow pretty quickly.

I've heard the same thing from Victorian park rangers doing back burning. They're told, oh btw you're FR gear is cancerous, but we can't do anything about it so their solution is just to tell the staff 'be careful'.

I don't think people realise how big this opportunity is for alexium.
