GM, Musk will be running tourist trips to the moon before we do away with the grid. There may be superficial changes but batteries will not power cities that never sleep - EVER.
If there was any point to the punt I would bet that babies born today will not see a 90% wind/solar/battery storage distribution system in their lifetime.
