Before the Industrial Revolution Earth's Co2 levels got to 0.02% an extremely low level when it comes to plant growth. Have you ever wondered why at higher altitudes there are fewer trees and what trees there may be are smaller and its not just that it is cooler but because the higher you go the lower the Co2 content becomes. Atmospheric Co2 levels govern plant life forms and habitat.
Co2 because of its composition is heavy - its elemental constituency has weight (i.e Carbon and two Oxygen atoms). In fact Co2 can hardly get off the ground. Next time you go to the theatre and they introduce fog to the stage as in the Phantom it's frozen Co2! Boggle and Chandler who died New Years Eve 1961 on the banks of the Lane Cove river died as a result of an accumulation of Co2 - it's heavy. Like wise animals have died after volcanic eruptions due to accumulation of Co2 in valleys as it tends to fall rather than rise. There is no magic halo of Co2 hovering in the atmosphere.
For all you Greenies, let me educate you - plants love and require Co2, it is not a pollutant but the most important naturally occurring gas on this Planet and without it - NO LIFE! How else do we get our Oxygen? For every molecule of Co2 consumed in the process of photosynthesis an equal equivalent of Oxygen is produced. So how come a so called pollutant is so important, well because it is not a pollutant, its all part of nature and life's existence.
Every organic molecule assimilated in our body requires the element Carbon and the only way of achieving this most essential element is via Co2 when plants utilize it in the process of photosynthesis to produce the 6 carbon chain organic substance Glucose. So every time you eat plants it may be a lettuce leaf or meat where the animal has consumed grass or other plant forms you get your required element Carbon. How else are you going to get it? After all every time you shave, women as well you are shaving off the Carbon used in producing hair! Or every time you cut your nails you require more Carbon, to regrow them.
For the leftish idiots who claim that not only Carbon but Co2 are pollutants defies logic and exposes them to the degree to which our education system has let them down.
Our Planet is a burning Planet, with a core of molten magma indicative of a living Planet - Mars is dead as there is now no longer any core of molten magma! Eventually once our core cools Earth will suffer as well. Everything burns and in doing so produces Co2, providing us with the ingredient for our continual survival!
Funny, those who refer to Co2 as a pollutant fail to realize the significance of this the most significant naturally occurring gas on this Planet!!
