Hi Walter,
An EM conductor requires a volume of interconnected conductive material to induce a current. Disseminated sulphides will not do this, however a thin sheet of sulphides (e.g. stringers or hopefully massive) may. These may or may not contain nickel but I wouldn't want to walk away until I'm positive I'd hit something that explains the EM conductor.
