With many million$ in turnover, the last thing that ebay wants is to run foul or authorities in any country that allows it to promote sales / purchases via independent sellers and those who have their own ebay shop.
As a seller, you cannot promote or refer ebay shoppers to your own independent website whether it sells product of provides free information. If you want to promote a ‘range’ of products (same or different) you can only do it via a specific ebay shop. Links to ‘outside’ shops are not allowed.

Drugs and drug paraphernalia cannot be sold on ebay –ebay Policy Overview – states “Narcotics, steroids, and all other controlled substances aren't allowed on eBay. This includes any substance listed in Schedules I, II, III, IV or V of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.)”
NOTE - Drugs in Schedule 1 – includes Marijuana and its cannabinoids
Personally I see ebay as a venue for moving unwanted stuff and a lot of cheap priced and low quality product. It might be OK to move cases of toothpaste and Finish dishwashing blocks but not a high priced strictly medical product like CBD capsules. Bang for bucks, you’d probably do better going through Kogan!............ just kidding!
It is still early days with the market and regulators still being tested and finding their ground. Ultimately sales will be created in bulk in some form or another and an easy payment method deployed.
