Kip et al, and any others who are interested in the SUDA lab.

I recently visited Dr Carol Worth and her staff at the SUDA lab in the offices in Osborne Park, WA.
My review and insight may not appeal to certain contributors to HC, but it is simply based on my visit and discussions with Carol and lab staff. A few tidbits were noted and I will share with those interested in what's actually happening, as far as I can see with my very small brain. Fortunately I have some insight of pharma and hospitals, etc. I admit the fine points of labs are very complex, and well above my pay scale.
So with this in mind I write.

The lab is small but efficient and filled with the latest relevant equipment.( eg new humidifiers for the various temperatures required for reformulations of various drugs; which may change the sedimentation and absorption of these drugs).
The staff of 4, including Dr Worth are highly qualified( PHD and Masters degrees in chemistry and pharmacy) and very experienced in their various fields of specialisation. All the staff have a great deal of major pharma lab experience ( Pfizer was mentioned a number of times as the direct employer, or companies taken over by Pfizer).
Because of the small size and compact systems this lab is capable of making rapid progress over a number of drugs simultaneously. eg 4 drugs at once in various test phases on different equipment. Some chromatograph work happens over 24 hours automatically. The *word disallowed by google absorption rates through pig buccal mucosa varies, but is impressive. The discussion of the 16 x more rapid absorption being inadequately tested in a large enough in vivo scenario is not true. The tests are carried out multiple times in each scenario. At present SUD-001- 005 are all being worked on repeatedly to increase absorption rates. *word disallowed by google results are still being improved AND these results are being relayed direct to Pfizer !! In fact the company seems to working with Pfizer on atleast SUD-003 and probably SUD-001. Pfizer I believe will be putting money in to help development once convinced of the efficacy?
The lab is also working with other pharma( esp Indian pharma) to reformulations drugs.
The raw drugs are purchased in 4-5 kg lots from the appropriate companies and batches of a max of 1000 vials are being produced. So The lab is carrying out trials and not manufacturing per se.These samples are then being tested by the pharma in their own labs.
All along the way contacts are made in all major markets and the work is impressing some many pharmas.
I looked at a few of the many Novadel IP lab results involved in the purchase of Novadel. There are boxes full of more. Currently the company is concentrating on 1-5, but working , to various extents, on 1-15 !! One of the ex Novadel bosses is impressed with the work being carried out, and the rapidity of results being gained.

So this is where the money is going and I believe it won't be long before cash flow will increase. Major pharma takes its time, but once they decide things can happen rapidly!!
I believe this year will end with no major announcements, but 2016 will be very productive. A pharma who shall remain unnamed will feature prominently following smaller, cashflow positive, deals regional deals in 2016.
Hers hoping for a big year to come.
I hope I haven't bored you all senseless!?
