This is a waiting game until the money is in the bank. And by bank I don't mean antares bank. I mean the bank of shareholders. JC may very well be a great guy and businessman, but I wouldn't trust a word he said or wrote for that matter. For those of you talking to Vicky (whoever she is) or JC - even if they told you the deal is all but done, would anyone really breathe a sigh of relief? If I were a shareholder I certainly wouldn't - so given this, why even ask?
In my view the announcements AZZ has made to the market on this and on many other matters have been intentionally vague. Even the latest announcement - "closing has not occurred as contracted due to Antares having received a request for an extension." Writing isn't my strong suit but seriously WTF? Wouldn't you just write "the buyer has requested an extension to the closing date and/or would like to vary some terms of the contract." There is always BS spin on everything they announce.
The deal looked suspicious from day 1 imo. All the dates and numbers were almost perfectly scripted for delaying the note-holders redemption. And whilst I have no intel, the fact that the initial closing date has come and gone and all shareholders have is a 2 sentence announcement is not encouraging.
Personally I will be shocked if they pull this off, however I have been wrong many times before.
Good luck shareholders, I really hope there is a reward at the end of all of this for you guys!
