Yup, that too crossed my mind, but there were discussion on HC much earlier - in the FAN piece where FAR were depicted as watching all the data as it came onto their screens. Don't know if that's true but I accepted it and so have always assumed that FAR do actually know what is going on, but are just restricted by the operator in what they can say about it (within the ASX Chapter 05 reporting guidelines).
Of course if it really is like you say and FAR doesn't know any more than you or I or has agreed with the JV that that should be the case it would get right round the ASX "becoming aware of material change requirements" reporting requirements. Oo ah...very interesting thought, squire.
