    It is beyond guessing.

But yes, it is starting to smell rather unusual

    JED-001:

    Initial assays
    Partial assays
    Incomplete assays

    Significant inconsistencies
    Complex inconsistencies

Additional and more detailed analytical work
    Mineralogical work
Using separate laboratories in both Brazil and Canada

I would only use a second laboratory to check on the first laboratory, just to make sure that he whole lab was not dysfunctional or the whole assay circuit contaminated, or because they had additional or more sophisticated analytical capabilities.

I would use mineralogical work to look for additional unexpected minerals that might be affecting the assay process, or to examine the mode of occurrence of for instance gold, eg. as microscopic inclusions in sulphides, tellurides or whatever.

There have clearly been significant, complex inconsistencies in the initial, partial assay results..
..or between those and the initial geological observations of abundant fine gold.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

    How tedious.
